Attempted to Change Default Settings in Hand Sanitizer Listing. I tried to find a way to change the drop down option to show a default size so that people would not receive an error button upon clicking for the first time. (I agree this was a deterrent to ordering.) After researching, I was not able to find that option. I can ask about it further on Monday when Squarespace Customer service is available to help. 7/01/2020: Had a conversation with Cust. Support, found out there is no possibility to set a default size (without writing custom code), so I suggested to Cassie that we keep it as 3 separate listings… see below.
Split Hand Sanitizers into 3 Separate Listings. In effort to solve this issue, I went ahead and split up the Hand Sanitizers into 3 listings instead of offering variants inside of one listing. The Call to Action button on the Main Page now links to the 2 ounce Hand Sanitizer and the customer is able to click through on the first try. (Let me know if you would rather link to the 4 ounce instead, that's a quick change.)
Featured the "Clean Hands Kit". I did this by moving around a few things: I moved the "Clean Hands Kit" to the top of the page, I renamed the "Gift Sets" page to "Popular", Moved "Popular" to the top of the "All Products" Page - causing the Clean Hands Kit to be the first thing you see when selecting the Shop Option.
Moved the Hand Sanitizers to "Popular". I figured this was the next logical decision to make, as they are popular right now!
Change Navigation Titles. I changed "Shop" to "Shop Now" and "Soap Box" to "Blog". As requested by Jace. … 7/2/2020: Changed it back upon Cassie’s request.
Moved "Gift Wrapping" to "Gift Cards". I did this because it might not be well placed in the new "Popular" category.
